Sexual Dysfunction in the Diabetic Male
May 29, 2008
|
|
Facilitator
Louis Kuritzky, MD
Description of Event
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is increasingly recognized as an early marker of endothelial dysfunction. The disproportionate incidence of ED in diabetic men reflects this burden of vasculopathy. Because sexual health is an important priority for our patients, clinicians should enhance communication skills that facilitate discussion of 'personal' issus, such as sexual function. Multiple therapeutic tools offer the opportunity for restoration of sexual function in the majority of men with erectile dysfunction.
