Technical Requirements

Do I have to register for the site?

You must be registered with the Metabolic Pulse web site in order to access the CME activities and the Slide Set Builder. You may register at any time by selecting the "Click Here to Register Now!" link.

How do I update my profile or change my password?

You must first log in to the Metabolic Pulse site in order to update your profile and/or change your password; click the "User Login" link to do so. After you have logged in, click the "Edit my Profile" link in the upper left section of the Metabolic Pulse main page. Once in the "Edit My Profile" area, click the "Change Password" link. You will be prompted to enter your old password and enter a new one. Please also be sure to enter the new password in the "Confirm Password" field. You may also update any of the profile fields at this time. When finished, click the "Submit" button to save your changes.

Why can't I hear the Interactive Physician-Patient Dialogues?

Confirm that the volume control in the Interactive Physician-Patient Dialogues is turned up by dragging the volume bar, found under the main panel, to the right. Additionally, you may want to verify that your computer volume is turned up and is not on "Mute." If you are using a PC, you may check your computer volume and "Mute" status by going to Start menu/Control Panel. Double-click the "Sounds" icon and go to the "Volume" tab. Ascertain that the volume indicator bar is on "High." You may adjust the indicator by dragging it to the right side of the bar. Also ensure that the "Mute" checkbox is un-checked. Click "OK" to save your changes and exit Sound settings. If you have separate/external speakers plugged into your computer, confirm that the speakers' power is turned ON and the volume has been turned up.

How do I bookmark an activity so that I can return to that spot during my next visit to the site?

If you are in the midst of a presentation and would like to complete it later, simply click the "Bookmark" link before logging off. When you return to the Metabolic Pulse site, click the "Go to My Bookmark" link, found under the applicable activity, to return to your saved place in the presentation.

How will I know how many credits I have accumulated?

If you have completed site registration, you may review the number credits you have accumulated by clicking the "CME Transcript" link in the My Metabolic Pulse page.
